Hi, I’m Ann, a recovering, overworked, and overwhelmed licensed therapist in Colorado.

It might be time to reach out when the small stuff feels so hard and adulting isn’t nearly what you expected.

For the past few years, I’ve ignored cautions from family, peers, from supervisors that I might be flirting with burnout.

I know how hard it is to realize that the very thing you love and are invested in is the problem. I know what it feels like to flirt with burnout and want to move forward.

If you like to laugh, get curious, and want something more—folks who desire to divest from hustle culture and grow into something meaningful, reach out. We’ve got work to do.

A diverse group of women in Boulder, Colorado, participating in a mental health care workshop, exploring the benefits of psychotherapy.

I am a mental health professional in Colorado with experience navigating complex systems, all while prioritizing the well-being of her clients at the forefront. I provide online therapy to folks in Colorado experiencing many things: anxiety, depression, mood disorders, post-traumatic stress disorders, and more.

I greet new clients with enthusiasm and unconditional positive regard and believe the therapeutic relationship is paramount in my work with individuals and families.

I am a therapist with extensive training in navigating large behavioral health systems and supporting communities, individuals, families, and couples, all while using a person-centered approach.

I am committed to the wellness of my clients by improving their self-worth and self-esteem and moving in a positive direction through a collaborative approach using a strengths-based perspective to help you move forward.

I have seen the power of counseling and how it helps clients navigate challenges with solution-focused interventions.

I love helping adults and adolescents see the many benefits of behavior change in finding hope, perspective, and happiness with in-person or online therapy.

This is done by processing grief, building therapeutic alliances while helping new clients manage conditions like anxiety and depression, grief and loss, and assisting in the incredible change counseling can have on your self-esteem and mental health.

Commonly Asked Questions About

Mental Health

  • Psychotherapy treats psychological disorders by interacting with or talking to a psychiatrist, psychologist, professional counselor, or social worker. During psychotherapy, the patient learns more about their moods, thoughts, and behaviors and how this impacts their daily life.

  • Deciding to seek therapy is a personal choice, and there is no single "right" reason to pursue it. However, some common signs may indicate therapy could be helpful. For example, suppose someone is experiencing persistent sadness, anxiety, hopelessness, struggling with relationships, or struggling to cope with stress or trauma. In that case, therapy may be a beneficial option.

Additionally, if someone has noticed changes in their behavior or mood that negatively impact their daily life, therapy can help them explore and address the underlying issues. Ultimately, the decision to seek therapy should be based on an individual's needs and goals for their mental health and well-being.

  • The cost of therapy depends on the therapist. At Two Rivers Therapy, we charge between $100-$200 per hour for therapy and clinical supervision.
